ABOUT MOVING IN VIRGINIA BEACH
Moving in Virginia Beach comes with its own set of logistics. The city is spread across a large geographic footprint, from the Oceanfront corridor to Chesapeake Beach to the suburban neighborhoods of Princess Anne and Great Neck. Traffic on I-264 and Virginia Beach Boulevard can stack up quickly depending on the time of day, and summer brings additional congestion tied to tourism. Our team knows the city’s layout, the access requirements for its various apartment complexes and neighborhoods, and how to plan a residential move here efficiently so your day does not get derailed by logistics that should have been figured out in advance.
WHAT WE MOVE
No two homes are the same, and neither are the belongings inside them. Our Virginia Beach residential moving team is equipped and trained to handle everything in your home carefully and efficiently, from everyday furniture to the items that require a little extra attention.
- Household Furniture: Sofas, sectionals, beds, dressers, dining tables, wardrobes, and all standard household furniture are handled with moving blankets, padding, and straps to prevent damage in transit. We disassemble and reassemble pieces that need it as part of the service.
- Kitchen and Appliances: Refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and other large appliances are moved with the proper equipment and techniques to protect both the appliance and your floors. We disconnect and reconnect standard appliances as part of your move where applicable.
- Bedroom and Nursery: From king-size bed frames to crib assemblies to dresser mirrors, we treat bedroom and nursery furniture with the same care we would give our own. Fragile items are wrapped individually before loading.
- Home Office: Desks, office chairs, filing cabinets, monitors, computers, and other office equipment are packed and moved carefully to make sure your workspace is up and running at your new home as quickly as possible.
- Boxes and Packed Items: Whether you pack yourself or use our full packing service, every box is loaded strategically by weight and fragility to arrive at your new home in the same condition it left.
- Artwork and Mirrors: Framed artwork, mirrors, and wall pieces are wrapped in specialized materials and loaded vertically to prevent cracking or breakage during transit.
- Antiques and High-Value Items: Items with sentimental or monetary value get dedicated attention and extra protective wrapping. If you have pieces that concern you, let us know at estimate time and we will discuss the best approach before moving day.
- Specialty and Oversized Items: Piano moving, gun safes, oversized sectionals, pool tables, and other heavy or awkward items require specific equipment and technique. We handle these regularly and will confirm the logistics at your estimate so the right crew and equipment show up prepared.
What We Do Not Move
For the safety of our crew and your other belongings, there are certain items we cannot transport including hazardous materials, flammable liquids, propane tanks, and perishable food. If you have questions about a specific item, just ask us when you request your estimate and we will give you a straight answer.
